Recreational Soccer Program
Level: Beginner/Intermediate
Age: U9- U15 (8th grade)
Our Recreational (Rec) Program is a beginner to intermediate level competitive soccer program designed to provide a fun learning environment that promotes player growth. It is both a continuation of the player's development from the IM program and an entry level program for players that are new to the game. The program will continue to focus on developing players' individual ball skills through both practice and match play. In addition to individual skill development, players will develop an increased understanding of the game's rules, tactics and strategies. Players can also choose to continue to play at the REC level to 8th grade.
Fall 2024 Season:
Practice schedule: 2 x practices per week with volunteer licenced coaches
Practice Locations: Polk Valley Park or Grist MIll Park- Hellertown, PA
Games: Rec teams participate in Blue Mountain Soccer League. 5 games are at Saucon Valley fields and 5 at Lehigh Valley Locations.
Tournaments:
Pre-Season Tournament (at coach’s availability)- There is an additional cost for this tournament.
U9 Festival - All U9 teams play in this end of season round robin tournament typically at the end of October.
The Garcia Cup - All teams U11 and up play in this end of season tournament typically played the first weekend of November.
*Notes: BMYSL does change the protocol for these tournaments from time to time so dates and specifics may change each season
Fall Season Cost: $125 Includes games, Tournament, ref fees, registration fees, and insurance.
Uniform: Uniform shirt ($30), black shorts, black socks, cleats, shin guards, appropriate size soccer ball.
Spring 2025 Season
Practice schedule: 1 practice per week with volunteer licenced coaches
Practice Locations: Polk Valley Park or Grist Mill Park- Hellertown, PA
Games: Rec teams participate in Blue Mountain Soccer League. 8-10 games at one Lehigh Valley location, but can be different depending on age group, TBD based on field availability
Tournaments: None
Spring Season Cost: $100 Includes games, Tournament, ref fees, registration fees, and insurance.
Uniform: Uniform shirt ($30), black shorts, black socks, cleats, shin guards, appropriate size soccer ball.
